Snake River Lodge & Spa, A RockResort
What to expect: This upscale, ski-in mountain lodge is across from the Saddlehorn Activity Center and adjacent to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, which is accessible via heated walkway. An antler chandelier illuminates the porte-cochere, and a carved bear bench adds a note of whimsy. Inside, Asian rugs complement hardwood floors, carved bear cubs peek out from pillars and lamps, and a stone fireplace adds warmth.
Amenity highlights: At the five-level Avanyu Spa, waterfalls spill over boulders into a freeform outdoor pool, and spa tubs are tucked into steam-filled grottos. In addition to signature spa treatments (surcharges), guests enjoy complimentary use of a fitness center with separate women’s and men’s saunas, steam rooms, and lounges.
Dining options include sophisticated regional cuisine, casual fare, and a spa menu. Wireless Internet access is complimentary throughout the resort.
Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa
What to expect: The Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa faces the slopes of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The warmly inviting, three-level lobby features a log-beam cathedral ceiling, wrought-iron chandeliers, log pillars, and Oriental rugs on gleaming hardwood floors. Richly hued tapestries and vintage snowshoes are displayed on the walls. Two wood-burning fireplaces lend a warm glow. Guests relax on cushy sofas with faux-fur throws.
Amenity highlights: Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the indoor lap pool and spa tub, providing natural light and commanding mountain views. A soaring cathedral ceiling adds to the sense of spaciousness. Just outside, the year-round lap pool and spa tub are on a terraced deck, with panoramic vistas.
The resort’s Solitude Spa features 10 treatment rooms, including two couples’ rooms with fireplaces and a hydrotherapy room. The resort also offers a large outdoor rooftop spa tub and a health club.
The Cascade Grill House & Spirits showcases New Western cuisine, complemented by views of the Gros Ventre Mountains.
Insider tip: The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort offers complimentary snowshoe tours, led by a Forest Service naturalist, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays (schedule subject to change). Tours begin—and snowshoes can be rented—at the resort’s Nordic Center, across the parking lot from the clock tower. Reservations are advisable but not required.
