Inside, Asian rugs complement hardwood floors, carved bear cubs peek out from pillars and lamps, and a stone fireplace adds warmth.

What to expect: The Teton Mountain Lodge & Spa faces the slopes of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. The warmly inviting, three-level lobby features a log-beam cathedral ceiling, wrought-iron chandeliers, log pillars, and Oriental rugs on gleaming hardwood floors. Richly hued tapestries and vintage snowshoes are displayed on the walls. Two wood-burning fireplaces lend a warm glow. Guests relax on cushy sofas with faux-fur throws.
